If Financing: the Substantial Completions phase will be checked off via text message.

It is necessary for someone over the age of 18 to be home for the installation, as interior access is needed to complete the custom installation in your attic and in your service panel box.

We will arrive between 8am-9am and start setting up outside and preparing the equipment.

The Foreman from the install team will knock on your door and introduce the team.

The Foreman will show you the plans and confirm they match your final design approval.

The Foreman will then walkthrough the installation process and how the team will be utilized through the day, to help you understand how often they will be going in and out of your house while they install the power plant

Once the build is finished, the Foreman will show you the electronics on the side of your home and how to turn the safety breaker on and off. Please refrain from doing this ever unless there is an emergency.

Thank you for your patience as we move forward! Here's what's next:

In Pennsylvania, the township inspector automatically sends the final approval to the Utility, initiating the next step without delay.

In New Jersey, once the township issues a Certificate of Approval (COA), we then forward it directly to the utility for further processing. Occasionally, the township may mail the COA to you. In which case, please kindly inform us, snap a photo of the COA, then email it to us at icx@publicservicesolar.com so we can complete the process on your behalf.

Once the Utility receives the Cut in Card (PA) or COA (NJ), they'll arrange for the installation of a Net Meter at your residence.

Please be aware that this step may take some time. We aim to expedite the process, but timing varies, typically ranging from 3 days to 4 weeks or longer, especially during delays at the utility company's net metering office. However, on average, the wait time is around 2 weeks.

Rest assured, our dedicated specialists at Public Service Solar work diligently with your utility company to expedite this process. Nonetheless, we appreciate your patience during this phase.

Once the Net Meter is successfully installed, the utility will send you a notification within 1 to 7 days, granting you Permission to Operate (PTO) your new Net Meter.
